The MMB program has provided many practical, hands-on opportunities to collaborate with biotechnology companies in the RTP as well as teammates from diverse educational backgrounds. Provided are some examples of industry practicum projects as well as my individual work.

CMI-BAM Project with Wilson College of Textiles

-Conducted prior art and IP due diligence for a new therapeutic medical technology (patent pending)

-Performed patent and literature searches across relevant technology classifications to determine novelty and potential infringement risk

02 Team Industry Project

Companion Diagnostics Competitor Analysis with Labcorp & Dr. John Bauman

-Conducted a competitive marketing analysis to evaluate key competitor strategies in website and social media marketing as well as service delivery models across 4 CDx case studies

-Analyzed competitor positioning across federal, state, and international regulatory frameworks (CLIA, CAP, ISO 15189) to inform strategic compliance recommendations

-Conducted literature review, competitive analysis, and IP landscape analysis to gain an understanding of the current wearable ultrasound market

-Designed and distributed surveys to gauge interest in target market

-Organized and conducted Voice-of-Customer interviews

-Provided market recommendations for expanding into new sectors
